It’s been an exciting couple of weeks. The Hunt gains more and more fans by the day. The highest number of pages read, two days ago, was 8,364 and the average book sales every day is 2-3 a day. This is so much more than I could have expected from my first YA book. My first book, Descending Into Darkness is not nearly as popular. I hope to pick up some more traffic with that one soon, just have to work on the marketing for it.
On top of that, my mom and I have an Etsy shop where she and I sell my Angora wool and her finished handmade quilts. In the last 5 days, we’ve sold 4 quilts and four batches of wool. My husband and I have gone through our garage and cleared it out. It was a mess of boxes and stuff that needed to go to either the dump or storage. We still have some work to do, but it is so much cleaner, which really pleases my inner OCD. Right now, I am working on marketing, Christmas prep, surviving snow days with my kids being home from school, luckily just 2 so far, and tinkering with a new script and the next book for Descending. I might dabble with the outline for the last Hunt book too. December is going to be a slow month for me because of the holidays. I don’t want to give myself deadlines except for editing The Hunt so I can get that out to you guys as soon as possible. Thank goodness my husband has been home more in the evenings. At least to help out with the kids bedtime. It’s been such a relief on my sanity, let me tell you. The kids seem happier as well. They missed seeing their dad more than just for the length of a bowl full of cereal gave them. I know I haven’t been very active on this blog the last few months but I have honestly been trying to focus all my time I’m allowed to sit down away from my kids on writing projects, so I’m sorry about that. But I wanted to let everyone know I appreciate the amazing support on all the things I’m doing. 😊 In case I’m not on here again until the new year, Happy Holidays and I love you! ❤️
