Hey friends! It just occurred to me that many of you may not be aware that I have a novelette available on Kindle Vella. It's a complete story, 7 parts, which means a quick read. It's a fantasy romance, definitely intended for mature audiences. I'd love for you all to let me know what you think.

Look no further! As a writer of both, I’ve asked myself this question multiple times. I’ve also bugged many professional film industry people the same thing. Their responses were all the same firm answer: BOOK FIRST
I strongly recommend writing the book first. This approach allows for a deeper understanding of the characters and their backstories, resulting in a more detailed and comprehensive plot. Once your book is published, you can then easily adapt it into a script, making necessary changes and improvements.
Not only does it allow for better story development it also gives you a leg up by telling producers, “based on a book.” Movies based on books already have advertising through your book sales and fan base, making funding a tiny bit more accomplishable. Actors can relate to the characters and better portray them by also having a book to help guide them.
So, don't hesitate! Start writing your book first and take the first step towards creating a masterpiece story. Publish the book, traditionally or self, and THEN do the script.
