And so it begins! This time with The Hunt publishing, I decided to send the manuscript to a couple of friends, who happen to read that genre, in hopes to get advance reviews of the book prior to it’s release on September 25th. I worked really hard to get things edited and revised according to my editor’s critique. Reading through my books when editing is so daunting but I did it in roughly four days and I am really proud of myself. I have about 20 pages left in the ending and I am sure I can finish that today during nap time and before any of my readers reach that point in the story.
Life, in the parenting sense, got in the way, I guess you’d say, with the editing process. I wanted it done much sooner, but insurance for my son’s behavioral therapy for autism ran into some red tape we had to find a way around, which we did, and meant a last minute evaluation appointment in Wenatchee, Wa. Which is about an hour and 20 minutes from us. My mother and I packed all the kids up in the van and headed for the afternoon appt. She took the girls to Target while I sat and answered a seemingly endless amount of questions. We got the official diagnosis necessary for insurance, but it is so much more complicated than that. When I have more information I will post it in a more detailed entry here for everyone who is interested. Today I will focus on finishing the edit, work on a Copyright and some advertising. I want to kinda go all out, Indie-publishing style, when it comes to the advertising and advance readings. Today is another short entry as I want to squeeze in some time to work on the things listed above. Summer break has proved to be so much more challenging than I anticipated. Wish me luck, guys!
